Travis Scott has announced a 10th anniversary reissue of his 2014 mixtape ‘Days Before Rodeo’.
On Monday (August 19), Scott shared a clip on social media featuring archive footage of himself and producer Metro Boomin – with snippets of their tour together promoting the mixtape. “IM FCKING JUMPING THRU WALLS AHHHH”, writes Scott on the Instagram post announcing the reissue. Watch the clip below.
The ‘Days Before Rodeo’ reissue will see the mixtape’s long-awaited arrival on streaming platforms this Friday (August 23) – it was only released in 2014 as a free MP3 download – along with physical editions on vinyl and compact disc that will be released at a later date.
The 12-track mixtape, which includes guest features by The 1975, Young Thug, Migos, and Big Sean, will also be accompanied by tracks recorded during production that didn’t make the final cut.
On Scott’s official merch store, the album is available in a variety of options: from a $5 (£3.80) digital download to a $125 (£96) box set with exclusive merch, new artwork, and the mixtape pressed on red vinyl.
Meanwhile, Scott continues to bring his Circus Maximus tour around the world. It’s set to conclude in Auckland, New Zealand on October 31.
Last May, Scott settled the last of several wrongful death lawsuits towards him and festival promoter Live Nation following his ill-fated Astroworld Festival performance in 2021.
The ongoing Circus Maximus tour has not gone without hiccups though – Scott was arrested in Miami for “disorderly intoxication and trespassing” in late June, and arrested in Paris earlier this month for assaulting a hotel security guard.
Despite the controversy – along with the shadow lingering from Astroworld Festival – Scott has continued to break tour records. Last month, Scott’s London gig drew in over 48,500 attendees and grossed more than $6.6million (£5.1million) from one night alone. He also broke the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium merchandise sales record for any event to date at the stadium, including the NFL.
