Colin Blunstone, lead singer of The Zombies, has joined Finneas for a live version of the band’s 1968 classic ‘Time Of The Season’ – watch below.

The song, taken from the classic psych-pop album ‘Odessey And Oracle’, was covered by Finneas during his ‘Like A Version’ session for Triple J in January, and he has been incorporating it into his live sets since.
On Wednesday, he played a show at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, and he welcomed the song’s original singer on stage with him for a duet of the track.

The Los Angeles show was the final US date in his ‘For Cryin’ Out Loud!’ solo tour, in support of his second solo album of the same name. From April 13, the European leg of the tour will commence in Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre, with dates to follow in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and Bristol. He then heads around Europe, closing out the tour in Cologne on May 9. Find any remaining tickets here.
Last year, he spoke about having to opt out of touring with his sister Billie Eilish in order to conduct this solo tour. “It’s been very bittersweet. I only decided to do it because I knew that I couldn’t be in two places at once. I can’t do my own tours and her tour at the same time, and I don’t want to prevent her from touring as much as she wants to tour,” he said.
As for The Zombies, their keyboardist and songwriter Rod Argent announced his immediate retirement from touring last summer after suffering a stroke.
“He was already preparing to wind down his live performance schedule after health scares on recent tours,” the announcement read. “However, the stroke was an unmistakable warning sign that the risks are too great.”
